My stay was a good one. The family is warm and welcoming yet professional. The house is quite large and my rear of the house room (#5) was spacious, secure and comfortable. I am sensitive to noise and always travel with earplugs; they came in handy as the room is right beside the kitchen. Not terribly noisy, but noticeable to me without earplugs. I would absolutely stay again and am curious to see what the house is like in the busy season with more than two guests. (There was only one guest...

It was my first time in a hostel. These guys have it nailed! Woman's only dorm was excellent, the place was really clean, sheets, pillows, all clean and fresh smelling and the bed was really comfortable, the top bunk could be tricky if you have motability issues so check in and reserve your space early. Free tea and coffee 24 hours, you get a towel, there's free shampoo and shower gel, hair dryer, so well organised. Very friendly and helpful staff! All in all, an...

Great location (literally at a metro stop!) Great staff and my room was great.

The Local is the best hostel I’ve been anywhere in the world. What they are doing feels like, in no small way actually, a push back against the divisive, greedy way the world is going. What a beautiful community, sharing a beautiful space. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. Strong hot water that’s good to drink. Can’t wait to return!

Was very impressed that this place actually looked exactly like the pics online. The staff was friendly and approachable from the start. I have been here for 5 days and it feels like home. Very pleasant place.

It was excellent for the solo traveler. I don’t believe it would work for someone in a wheelchair, or with other type of limited mobility. And if you aren’t strong enough to climb up a few little steps on the small ladder to get to a top bunk, you should let them know that when you make a reservation. I stayed in the top bunk this time, and it was super easy to get in and out, but I can see how it might be daunting for somebody else.

You don’t get what you paid for, you get more! Excellent location, great rooms, and amicable staff. There is also a 24 hours store next door if you’re feeling hungry and want a little bite which I find super convenient. Will be coming again! Thank you so much Q4!

The room was nice, the other tenants we ran into were also pleasant. We got to meet the owners husband, he was contracting someone to fix a banister and got it done that same day. The location is good and close a lot of fun stuff, like museums and some nice food and bars. The bathrooms were clean and people staying were good with cleaning up after themselves. The room floor was a little dirty, but we found a broom and cleaned it up when we arrived.

Great continental breakfast. Friendly staff and very clean rooms. Perfect all the way around.
