Hampton Inn Gloucester
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice lady checked us in, all in all a positive experience"
Hilton Vacation Club The Historic Powhatan Williamsburg
10/10 Excellent
"I stay here regularly and usually have a seamless experience. The units vary somewhat in terms of the quality/newness of the furnishings, but every room I’ve had has been clean, and the air conditioning has always worked well. Some of the showers seem to have low water pressure, but definitely check both showers in your unit. Usually there is at least one with an awesome showerhead. The staff is very friendly and helpful. On my last visit, I was annoyed that housekeeping came in and cleaned the room (and left on all of the lights and fans), even though I had left the do not disturb sign on the door. The housekeeping manager assured me that he would talk to the staff to avoid doing this in the future. My niece and nephew, who live in Williamsburg, enjoy the miniature golf and indoor pool (during the winter). I’ve stayed at a couple other resorts in the area, but this one will continue to be my first choice. One warning: check-in can be painfully slow. I generally visit my family as soon as I get to Williamsburg and don’t check in until 830 to 9:00. Any earlier than that, I’ve found, risks a long line and painful wait. They try to make it more efficient by having each party fill out a written form with their relevant details, but it still takes forever for some reason."

MILLION DOLLAR VIEWS NO EXTRA CHARGE! POOL! PRIVATE HOT TUB! KAYAKS! EV CHARGER
10/10 Excellent
"I must admit, I thought the "million dollar view" was hype. It is not. The scenery from the back deck is AMAZING...a wide expanse of peaceful waters as you look out over Godfrey Bay and the Piankatank River is breathtaking. As a rule, we typically try not to visit properties that we've rented before, but this experience has my wife saying "Do you think we could come back this Fall?"There are more than enough activities offered at the property to keep you busy, and plenty of relaxing spaces indoors and out if you'd rather just chill. We spent an afternoon on the beach with our toes in the water, and it was about as peaceful and serene as you could get. We ate dinner down on Gwynn's Island at Hole In The Wall and had a very nice meal overlooking the water from their upper deck. I also have to give a shout-out to Robert, who was very available and responded promptly when we had a question about one of the amenities. Everything worked out perfectly with his assistance and helped us enjoy our stay.I think it's pretty safe to say that we'll be back! Thank you again for a wonderful getaway."
The Tides Inn

"The staff was attentive and very helpful."
Whispering Pines by Hotel O Whitestone VA
8/10 Good
"It's not the Ritz Csrlton, but it's clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed, and inexpensive. It was a safe place for me and quiet. They had a little problem with my check out. They thought it was one day earlier but I went to the office and they assured me it's was their mistake. They were very good about it and apologized. Overall I only stayed there to sleep and enjoyed my time there 😊 😃 😀"
