"Hotel was very well maintained. We enjoyed the fire pit, the pool and the hot tub. The fresh fruit-infused water in the lobby was a nice touch as was 24-hr access to a “make your own espresso drink” gizmo. Breakfast included a waffle bar - always fun. We were traveling with our dog and the hotel not only provides a snack, clean up bags and a dog blanket but is very clear about their expectations for cleanliness and sound, which we appreciated. The WiFi was easy to access as were the TV apps. Outside there is a covered bridge (it is vermont) and a couple short well-signed loops through the woods. We enjoyed them but you need to be ready to step over some fallen trees. Friendly helpful staff"

"We would stay at the von Trapp Lodge again because of the history and amenities. We were disappointed in the hotel staff. They did not go out of their way to be helpful or provide support. Anytime we ask questions we felt that we were interrupting them. We were staying for our 20 year anniversary as noted in our reservation and nothing was ever said by any staff member or even a simple card in the room which was a disappointment."
