"Customer service lady was mean checking us in. No central air conditioning or heating. Room had some what fans. Clean but no amenities like fridge, iron, or microwave. Will I recommend it, yeah if you are on a low budget. If you want quality service, then don’t book this."

"Arrived for a 2 day relaxing time away Room was tatty we ssked for a double bed ended up wit 2 singles pushed together restaurant was unclean breakfast was luke warm and dry.used the spa had to buy a padlock from reception that didnt work with code .questioned it and said couldnt do anything with it .very poor .sauna was out of order.hole in the bathroom ceeling where we witnessed a woodlice drop into the bath ..will not be staying again very poor "

"The advertised school holidays parts were not what we were expecting at all.. movie room with popcorn etc - was some dirty bean bags and no film playing. It was in the same room as the games so you couldn’t sit and watch a film. We didn’t find a sweet cart which was advertised. The new pool area is amazing. Great for kids! And very warm. Would definitely recommend. Communal areas could do with an upgrade and the rooms. We ate in the Ryder grill and opted for the sharing chateaubriand - for the price it was we were extremely disappointed, it was quite cold, not presented very well and lacking flavour, but with a toddler past her bedtime we didn’t have the time to send it back and wait for new food. The breakfast choices and quality was also really lacking. The breakfast food was also cold. Overall disappointed with the food here for the price it is "

"When we got there, we were told it might be loud music til 10:30pm but it was so loud, we came downstairs despite my daughter being absolutely shattered as it sounded bearable than the vibrating boom through the floor. We went back up at 10, but there was music til 12:15am and loud taking til 12:45am. Then there was the sound of air con or something industrial right outside our room from the early hours til we got up. We hardly slept. The room was OK, though the light fitting was full of dirt and the ceiling had bad water marks. Needs a good refurb and something done with that air con or whatever it is and forewarning of loud music before booking so guests know what to expect"

"We have loved our time at New Hall Hotel. The place is beautiful. We end up visiting again within rhe same week it was so nice. Whenever we come to the west Midlands this is where we stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is lovely and a nice selection. Everyone speaks to you and makes you feel welcome. Next time we will try the spa. "

"Lovely grounds and room was very clean. Disappointing that breakfast is served in a dark space with no windows when there appears to be other large rooms with windows overlooking the beautiful grounds."

"We got a warm and friendly welcome as soon as we entered the bar. Although the pub is traditional and in a perfect setting by the canal it clearly needs updating as did our room. The benches are rotting away and the exterior is in need of a general tidy up. Our room was very dated and the beds old and uncomfortable. The bathroom was an adequate size though the shower was mouldy and hardly any hot water. We had to go back to the bar area which is downstairs and outside through a courtyard area to get a remote control for the TV and teabags as there was only 1. We didn't have breakfast as we stayed over for an early morning flight from Birmingham which was very handy being only 20 mins away. We had an evening meal which was Malaysian themed but unfortunately they ran out of my choice very early and I did settle for an alternative which was freshly cooked and tasty. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly but the pub itself and rooms definitely need refinishing."

"This hotel is in a seriously poor state, with significant damp issues in the corridors, many broken and cracked fixings on the walls and smell throughout the corridors. The roof is currently being fixed, and there is scaffolding outside. The beds were really quite comfortable, but that was its only saving grace. For the price this is not an acceptable condition. "
