"Lovely friendly staff on arrival, offered a glass of Sherry which was a nice touch. Booked single rooms but were given very comfortable twin rooms each which was a bonus. Rooms were warm comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good although the pastries and juice hadnt been replenished when we came down but the quality was good. The coffee was the nicest ive tastes at a hotel! I have stayed here twice and would stay again."

"We've stayed here under it's previous incarnation and were unaware it had been taken over since booking a return visit. The hotel is really useful for gigs, we were attending one at the Wulfrun Hall just a few minutes walk away. It's been decorated since we were last there and looks much brighter and more welcoming than before. The staff were helpful too. There's no hairdryer in the room which I remembered last minute before we left, so make sure to take one with you!"

"The building was amazing for its age. we didn't experience any lost soles at night cleaning not the best the high dusting hadn't been dne for months rather disappointed being it cost £160 a night and you cnt get a breakfast they recomend 2 cafe's to go towe went in to the bar for a drink and i think we stood there for nearly 10 mins before some asked if we would like a drink"

"Staff were very friendly and beds were really comfortable, however, the hotel does appear to be in a period of transition. At the time of our visit the lift wasn't working, and there was no food available in the hotel. On a minor point the TV in the room couln't pick up a signal , maybe due to it's position right by the Wrekin. At first glance the hotel does appear to be in an isolated spot, but it is less than 30 minutes drive to all the attractions of the Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire Hills and Shrewesbury. Telford is about 15 minutes away, and there are a good choice of restaurants there. All in all I would be happy to stay there again."
