This is the third time we have stayed in this lovely little cottage as we wait for a house sale to go through. It’s cosy and well equipped, in a beautiful country location. Celia has looked after us well. The area has some interesting little towns to visit and great transport links to go further. Manchester, Liverpool, North wales, Peak District and Yorkshire dales all within reach.

I don't know where to start, what a holiday!Me and my family had the most amazing time staying at Bess's Cottage - we had everhthing we could have needed and more!Celia, the wonderful host who made us feel incredibly welcome, let us know before our arrival that a new television was being set up, just in case it wasn't quite finished by the time of our arrival. Everything was simply perfect, and we loved watching the cows every day from the warm cottage! Our baby was accommodated for with a travel cot and high chair, I think baby had a fantastic time too - and will miss the cows!A great location for groceries, restaurants and activities too. we drove a short journey to blue planet aquarium and had a great day out. We will absolutely be back again soon, thank you for having us!

Loved it! Clean, warm with all the comforts of home.
Loved it! Clean, warm with all the comforts of home.
A great base for us to visit family and friends in the north west.
One request would be a fabric sofa, or the tele moved upstairs to watch in the divine and huge bed.
Celia was so welcoming and having fresh milk and tea and coffee supplies made it even easier to settle in.
Beautiful countryside, beautiful cows. We will be back!

Exceptionally clean and well thought out cottage design.
Exceptionally clean and well thought out cottage design. The owners are very attentive and provided everything we needed...including a tour of their milking farm. Five baby calves were born during our stay, making it very memorable. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the British countryside.
