"Amazing service from the staff, loved our stay♥️"

"We were looking for an overnight relaxing stay and this hotel was exactly what we needed. Everything you want for a relaxing time is provided for . Our room was a good size, quiet and very comfortable. The hotel is steeped in history, and the building is incredibly quirky dating back to the 15th century. Many historical figures have stayed here, including Horatio Nelson! We would like to single out in particular a member of staff called Horace, whose hospitality went above and beyond at all times and made the whole experience even more marvellous. We enjoyed a delightful three course meal in the evening and found that the menu was very appealing and the restaurant had a lovely ambience to it. The morning after our stay we were booked in for a massage in the spa which was also great. The amenities are brilliant and we would very much recommend this to anyone else wanting a relaxing weekend away."

"I must say the meal we had was very very poor not worth £17 at all very disappointing unfortunately we are staying another night because of weather & my husband not being well so it’s proving to be expensive for us ! Going back to your menu we only had a Katsu curry only 3pieces of chicken 😡"

"Everything was efficient, told all information that we needed at reception. Comfy bed, but wish it was king size, very good breakfast, free parking in Gunwharf Quays by hotel. Walk out into shopping & restaurant area. Discount available at several local restaurants if you're staying at Holiday Inn. Tourist information at entrance & reception."

"Beautiful grounds and general location. Large room, though slightly old fashioned with a key attached to a large keyring and no lift. Great air conditioning. Decent TV. Excellent WiFi. Very nice restraunt. Helpful staff."
