Ryokans in Mie District

The hotel is a bit dated but the location is excellent if you want to ride on the Gozaisho Ropeway. It is right next to the Ropeway station. Moreover and since we booked our room on a Sunday that traffic to the hotel is quite bad as a lot of people were driving to the summit to take the ropeway ride. From Shikanoyu, it's a 5 minute walk to the cable car (called a Ropeway in Japan) that goes to the top of Mt Gozaisho. It's close to the Suzuka race course, and the flower garden Nabana no Sato. Fantastic stay in this onsen style ryokan. Had a wonderful private onsen in our room, overlooking the river and the lake beyond. Can’t ask for a more perfect experience. Waking up early to soak in our private room onsen before dressing and heading down for the Japanese style breakfast included.

If you like Japan this hotel should be on your bucket list. Located right on the beach in Minamichita and within walking distance to several nice restaurants. Our room had a spectacular sea view. We had dinner at the Seaside Capri restaurant next door. The waiter had an Ipad with a picture menu for us. Being a typical Japanese Ryokan you change into a yukata.
