Excellent hotel boutique. The only thing weird is the entrance to the building which looks as it were offices. However, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are great.

Disliked: Amenities
The room was very good, clean and nice size. the staff were VERY nice (the receptionist and the bartender were really lovely). BUT it is a strange 'hotel' situated in a strange office building with a work space, gym available to local residents and a restaurant that closes the kitchen at 7:30pm. To get to your room, you need to go through the gym, work spaces, restaurant and go up one flight of stairs with your luggage (the elevator isnt working). It is a separate floor with no supervision (you need to open a door with your phone app). To entrance is poorly lit at night with a homeless man sleeping right next to the buzzer. It was creepy to say the least. I would say it is ok for groups or couples but not for single female travelers.
An ideal home base for 2 wks of walking to explore Milan's many districts, as well as Milano Centrale for ventures outside the city. Great big shower, comfy bed, quiet, super friendly people. Loads of restaurants nearby, and it was nice to "come home" to dinner after a day in the more tourist-intensive areas. Italian-style breakfast (yogurt, fruit, granola, cereal, croissants, cakes, great coffee) was perfect to start the day (more substantial fare also available). Grazie mille for a wonderful introduction to vibrant Milano!
Difficult to find the hotel, awkward app to unlock doors (no keycard), room felt stuffy with no AC and couldn’t open windows due to noise of the busy road.
If you're looking for an untraditional stay - this is definitely the place. The staff were very friendly and the room was very standard.
However, it felt more like you were in a WeWork space because to get to the actual rooms you have to walk through a gallery, restaurant, gym/spa and then up some stairs (the electricity on the side of the building where the rooms are isn't working so the elevators don't work). It is not your conventional hotel!
Then if you want the temperature controlled in the room, you have to call the front office and they will adjust the temperature remotely - there is no way to control the heat in the room. Each day that we stayed there, the temperature was way too cold. By the last night we were there we didn't even bother trying to get it corrected and dealt with the air blowing all night.
Also, to get into the building/rooms, note - you need to use your smartphone to open several doors.
Again, it's an unconventional place - but if you're open to these things, it's a clean and decent space.
The area around the hotel had lots of great restaurants, cafes and shops - so that was a plus.
I don't leave hotel reviews often, but felt compelled here because potential guests should understand what they're booking.
The positives: staff was genuinely nice, the room itself was nice, AC worked very well, and there's a great market on the first floor of the building.
The issue is access. There's no normal lobby or entrance. You get in through one of two locked street gates: one opens via a website on your phone, the other requires buzzing the front desk from outside. The same website controls access to the hotel floor and your room. If your phone dies, you're locked out of major parts of the property and need staff assistance.
From the front desk, you pass through multiple doors, walk past what appears to be a separate gym facility, and reach a separate stairwell and elevator area. That elevator was broken my entire stay and, based on other recent reviews, had been broken for weeks.
There was also a problem with the security door to the floor where the rooms are. When it doesn't close fully, the electronic lock clicks repeatedly trying to engage. It was loud enough to wake me around 2 AM, and I had to get dressed to go close it myself.
Overall, this hotel felt less like a hotel and more like a handful of rooms inside a building. If you're comfortable navigating all of that, the room quality is fine. But it's worth knowing before you book.
