"I made a mistake with the booking date, and the host was great at helping me change it. Good location if visiting family in Temuka. Rooms are a bit cold (not unusual for NZ buildings - poor insulation is the norm for older buildings in NZ). The motel provides heaters in each room, which helped. Across the street from Night & Day dairy, good for snacks and supplies. A good option in the small town of Temuka if you dont want to trek from Timaru or Geraldine."

"Lovely clean room and a great little stop over spot. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Beautiful garden"

"Beautiful very spacious very large living and bedrooms. We slept like a baby and it was a self sufficient stay with a proper kitchen, milk stocked, coffee etc. etc. The TV were a bit outdated as they weren't connected to the Internet which could have been better but overall, fantastic property and a great overnight stayer if you are heading to Christchurch to catch a plane or have arrived in the evening at Christchurch and are heading to an alpine retreat"

"Great location with good parking. Easy walk into the township. Clean & quiet property. Comfy bed. Basic amenities but lovely tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Have stayed multiple times & would definitely stay again."

"Perfect location and lovely view. Very friendly and informative reception clerk. We opted to pay a small fee for breakfast. It was delivered to our room. Lovely stay."

"large spacious suit room. fluffy white towels. mini fridge that was silent. Brillant shower. Helpful friendly staff. Loved the lift it was like stepping back in time. Bar/restaurant staff were very helpful and fun to be around. Would stay again."

"No hooks for hanging apparel."

"Great spot to stay and I was made to feel welcomed when I went to check in. Will definitely stay here again."

"Lovely and quiet even though on the main road. We were able to check in early, which was very much appreciated. Easy parking and within walking distance to foods and the penguins."

"Clean, lovely room, parking available, such friendly staff and pet friendly"

"Great place, very welcoming. Reception gave a map to help us plan our trip south the next day which was very useful. Oh, and within walking distance of penguin nesting across the park."

"The room are so clean and the owner is so nice"

"What a great hotel. We only had 1 night but my husband chose well . So comfortable, pristine clean and great amenities even a sachet of makeup remover. Bed was so comfortable and shower great. Easy parking . Would definitely stay again."

"All good"

"The property was exceptional. Our room was lovely, clean, and well-appointed. Every aspect of the renovation was clearly well planned and thoughtfully executed. It was wonderful to have ample parking right out front. We only wish we could have stayed longer. After so many generic hotels on the South Island, it was a lovely treat to find this cozy gem. We hope to return—it’s a wonderful addition to this charming town."
