Over the past 5 years we have had occasion to stay at The Lodge many times and it never disappoints. In a word, the Lodge is comfortable. Everything is easy from the parking to the check in to the nice breakfast. The rooms allow for storing food you might have brought with you in a nice size fridge with a decent freezer area. During our visit, Hurricane Helene moved across the area, and the hotel lost power. The staff did everything they could to make sure everyone was safe. as a traveler who feels one doesn't have to spend alot to get a good value if they do their homework, I found this facility to be top notch. Roomy, clean, quiet, friendly staff, and obvious that they take pride in how the place is presented. Delicious hot breakfast and 24 coffee.
