"The room was very clean, but cold, receptionist gave us another room as couldn’t get heating to work, had same problem with the next room. She couldn’t get it to work either but brought us a heater which warmed the room very quickly. She was very good & came back later to check it had warmed up. Would definitely recommend hotel to others"

"Very nice modern hotel. Nicely decorated. Hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the historic city centre in a quiet residential area. Has restaurant, bar and a good cafe. Room was very nice Good size, loads of storage space, very good overhead shower. Good size fridge. Leisure facilities include a long but narrow swimming pool with spa jets along one side, steam room and sauna (currently being refurbished so not in use). Very good breakfast buffet plus you can order hot dishes such as fresh porridge and egg dishes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Altogether a nice spot to stay. "

"The staff were brilliant and made our stay so enjoyable. Food was excellent both for the breakfast and evening meal. Our Room was cleaning and comfortable with a nespresso machine, premium teabags and fresh milk available from a fridge in the landing were welcome additions. The pub felt warm and cosy was festooned with lovely Christmas decorations. I thoroughly recommend the Crown & Punchbowl when visiting Cambridge, especially as a half hourly bus service into Cambridge stops just across the road. "

"The check in process was fairly easy. We loved the location and the proximity to the bus and coop. Communication with the property manager was spotty. We had asked to check in early and never heard back. We had an issue with the plumbing and it took a while to hear back. The issue wasn’t resolved during our stay. There were small things that could be improved upon to make it more comfortable. Both the bed and the sofa bed were uncomfortable. There was no fan, and it gets quite warm. "
