"Overall, the hotel is great. I'm a business traveler and would recommend the hotel for business. This trip however, I was on vacation, and the hotel is clean and modern. Has a great view of the Pacific Ocean, and is across the street from a shopping center with several food options. The hotel staff is helpful. The only negative, and it does stand out quite a bit for me - is the noise level. Every single surface in the hotel is hard, so noise bounces off everything. From the moment we walked in...

Cons: very slow WiFi, outdated room, old carpeting (use the free slippers provided), poor in-room coffee (drip), some power outlets not working, gym doesn't open until 8 AM some days, hotel taxi charges twice the going rate"
