The room was clean, no smoke smell, the shower was dirty, the toilet was clean, the mattress had stains, the sheets were ok, the towels were dirty and over used. The area was ok but I felt a little unsafe. The breakfast was HORRIBLE.

The info I saw on the website is very different from what it actually looked like. The TV was not hooked up at all and there wasn't even anywhere to hook it up. There was graffiti on the walls where my kids stayed. I will definitely NOT be staying there again.

Decent place to stop for a quick night

Beds were clean and comfortable. Judging by the stack of mattresses by the dumpster, beds were new, which was nice. Shower was HOT 🔥 Room was sufficient for a cheap quick overnight stop.

Surprise!

The LaQuinta is in the center of downtown three blocks out of the French Quarter. The rooms are lovely, however there are a few surprises. 1. Parking is not free. 2. There is a $150 deposit for damages. The good news is you don't break anything you get it back. The staff I have encountered are the nucest and most helpful individuals. The room is nice it lacks one thing, the ability to provide heat. AC is in abundance and COLD!!!.

The check in area was very clean and the staff pleasant. We were told the elevator was out of order and the room was on the second floor. Climbed the dirty stairs with our luggage, walked into the room and was overwhelmed with the order of stale smoke, We used a can of Lysol to compensate the odor before we could enter. and there were no towels and the bathroom. It was very dirty and had bugs on the floor. The paint on the door was peeling. We walked to the bed and it had roaches crawling on the it. The pillows were from a different century. I would never recommend a family to stay here.

We were stopping off to get some sleep during a road trip, so we were just needing a no frills place to get a few hours of sleep. We’ve stayed in the area before, and there were several hotels in the same area. This was the best deal, and we’ve never had any real safety or cleanliness concerns until this. We pulled up and there was a cop car outside. I walked in, and there were a couple of men standing around talking about the incident that had occurs. The front desk lady had stepped out get get some towels for another guest, and when she walked back she was frazzled. She was new and was there by herself, so she didn’t know how to print the receipt or run the card. She was very nice, but also stated “You get what you pay for” and “Welcome to the dirty south.” As I got more nauseated, we made our way to our room. There was loud music playing outside and when we walked into the room, the beds were unmade and the whole room look unclean. We immediately walked back to the van (my husband and I, our 2 teenagers, my 84 y/o mother in law, and our 3 year old). We didn’t stop at the front desk or request a refund. We just left and went a few miles further down the road to a much safer, clean location. We will never stay anywhere near that area again! This is the first negative review I’ve ever had to write, and we have stayed in MANY hotels over the years. We always look for lower priced rooms when we just need a quick few hours of sleep and have never had any concerns until this.

This property was business in the front and crack motel in the back. This property did have an armed security guard. However, when we pulled up, he was walking away, smoking a cigarette looking very suspicious. As you get around to the backside of the hotel, you can see that a lot of the rooms are permanent residents. There was piles of trash around every corner that we took. Once we got into the room, behind the bathroom door was hair and dirt. In the back of the hairdryer was hair. The pool had something white, possibly trash, floating in it. We left immediately and booked a different hotel.

I walked into the lobby and was not addressed for several minutes when I was it was by a woman that was chewing ice like it was her job and couldn't even have a normal conversation then they gave me a room they weren't sure was ready and had to send up security to check the room. when I got to the room it was filthy no blankets on the beds only sheet and no remote control for the TV nor did the TV work when I found the on button
