"Although the furnishings may be outdated, and the castle is a good drive uphill on an Italian twisty-road… we were very happy with our stay here: it’s a castle room! We enjoyed it. Be prepared for bird song in the morning, and beautiful valley vistas. Bring your wine and snacks: there are no shops around! Breakfast was included and it was good. Parking is a bit downhill but on property. Add 15 minutes to your expected drive to all area attractions and you will be fine. Enjoy Giomici castle! "
"The hotel is new, clean, well designed and uncluttered. Plenty of common areas, roomy breakfast hall with natural light. The rooms are large and the bathrooms have big showers with glass walls (no shower curtain needed). The front desk is helpful and the breakfast staff went out of their way to feed us even if we got there 5 minutes before closing. Free parking and space reserved to charge EVs. "

We were happily surprised to find a 900 year old castle on the top of the hill, with its own church (which we were given the keys to see ourselves), towers and old hallways. The house was on 3 floors with 4 bedrooms, perfect for the 4 adults and 4 kids in our group, plus a rooftop with amazing views. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Considering the price, it might be the best value for money place I've ever stayed in. I'd definitely recommend."
