"The property was in a beautiful location and inside was lovely and clean. Also everything you need in the cupboards Garden area was great and a lot of the farm animals came to say hello Nice walks nearby and other lovely places to visit by car. Would recommend people who are looking for a peaceful stay especially if you have a dog"

"There were issues with obtaining the checkin details in a timely manner. Property only superficially clean set in a not very pleasant location with an appalling access road. The boiler was extremely smelly and there were no instructions for the heating. Towels were totally inadequate in this day and age."

"A very nicely refurbished cottage with all necessary equipment and appliances. 50 metres walk to the mostly deserted beach. Not much to do in Powfoot itself, so driving is essential. Caravan park cafe very good and Powfoot hotel good if you don't have a dog."

"A fabulous house for a truly lovely break away. Lovey spacious accommodation, done to a very high standard. Everything we needed was there. I would highly recommend it and we hope to go back. Do try to arrive in daylight hours as it is not the easiest to navigate in the dark."

"Lazydays is a really lovely cottage down a side street (parking outside no problems at all). It's a minutes walk to the main street with lots of choices to eat and some nice walks. Great communication from the owner. Definitely recommended !"

"The place is super quaint and clean. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Not a lot in town to eat, the one pub was not recommended, so be sure to plan meals accordingly. Easy drive to train station. Parking was limited and a bit far away."

"Our group of 11 had a great time in Dumfries and environment. The house was perfect for our extended family to gather and enjoy four days/five nights together. There was generous space for all of us to have meals as a group and spend time lounging together in the living room in the evening, but also for people to have some quiet time. The location of the property, adjacent to fields, and the pastoral views made it a very relaxing experience. We went on many walks in the immediate environment,...
