"The room was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate four people, with nice separation between the sleeping and living areas. However, there were no blackout curtains, making it far too bright in the early morning.
On the bright side, the breakfast was amazing with so many options to choose from, though a few popular items ran out before the buffet closed."
"Warm and friendly staff. Very helpful. Love the convenience of the hotel. Love its proximity to touristy places and the train station. Love the city."
"I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel in Hakodate. A stone's throw from the main railway station (which is not the same as the Hakodate Shinkansen station). The entrance is a bit tricky to find since it's tucked into a shopping arcade and there was the tents of an outdoor restaurant in the way. The hotel seems brand new and we decided to go above the standard room and the choice was well worth it. The room was on the top floor with a great view of the harbor. The decor is what I would call modern traditional with a raised platform, but with mattresses instead of futons with plenty of room to move around. The hotel has a nice breakfast buffet for a reasonable price and the local fish market with more restaurants and food stands is a five minute walk away. Hakodate is a very walkable small city and this hotel is in a great location. Of the six hotels we stayed at on this trip, I would rate this as my number one."
"It was very roomy and had a great view. Solid location, a 20 minute walk from Hakodate Station. It also had a number of restaurants and some bars nearby. The staff was kind and helpful whenever we needed assistance."
"The free shuttle and the activities provided is amazing. The common area at the 2nd floor is very well thought of. Bonus is the hot spring. Overall, it's always a great experience to stay at one of the property run by Hoshino group"
