Very nice and spacious rooms. Great location for either Nyali or Mombasa. Only drawback is there's a lot of street noise for the apartments in the road side (but very quiet on the water side).

Great clean well kept hotel with water views, monkeys climbing on the balcony, walking distance to grocery and shopping. The restaurant was great, well staffed and friendly all around. This was my 5th hotel on my trip to Kenya and the best overall. It was right on the bridge so transportation was easy as walking outside. I extended my stay.

After leaving another property because it didn’t meet my standards, my boyfriend recommended this hotel. When we pulled up, I already knew we were in for a treat! The front desk personnel was so pleasant and treated us like royalty. The room was GORGEOUS and overlooking the creek which made for a wonderful view. The pool was refreshing, the drinks were refreshing and the food was exceptional! Thank you for making Mombasa memorable for us! I will definitely stay here again when I’m on this side of the world. 10/10!!!

This hotel was much nicer than i had expected from reading the reviews and seeing the pictures. It was actually a lovely hotel and large rooms. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the the duvet which was super heavy and hot and there was no tpp sheet.

An amazing hotel in the middle of Mombasa. Ideal location with very easy transfers. Excellent communication and support before and during the trip, helping us book train tickets and meeting our safari guide. Hotel room, facilities and outdoor area were perfect. Very quiet and clean. Every member of staff was incredibly helpful and made our stay very special. The food was amazing and so much choice. They even made us take away breakfasts for our very early 5am starts. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

My Experience at CityBlue

The place is fabulous, and the service was great. Nice terrace. But one issue they have to work on is finding a way to contain or keep the flies away. Flies can easily distribute bacteria after landing on human or animal stool, dead bodies, and rotten things around us. So keeping flies away is very crucial.

We arrived around 10 pm after long flight and offered fresh mango juice at front desk which was thirst crunching. After this the horrible experience started when we taken to the room. Next to the room there was you g kids party going on and therefore requested for quieter room as we wanted to have shower and go to bed. After unpacking we found that there was no hot water to have shower which apparently the staff at the front desk was aware but despite we were taken to the room. After reporting the water issue we were asked to move third time. We were told tired to move so told them if we could just have shower in another room instead of moving. That was denied so we stayed in the room and went to bed. When we were sleep the phone rang and it was front desk asking us if we could move. We replied to the caller that we will talk in the morning and which we did to the staff. The manager was not available, the staff tried to contact but he would not answer. The staff gave us the contact card to which he was emailed. So far has not received any response back. We had paid at the time of booking with Expedia.
