"We booked through Expedia for one adult and one child (age 6). The listing described the property as family friendly, children welcome with a family room and soundproofed rooms, which is why I chose it.
From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. There was no hello or greeting; instead we were immediately told off about the fact we had a child with us, as the property does not allow children. We were still permitted to check in.
Early the next morning, while loading the car to leave, the front of house staff member blocked our re-entry to the building and falsely accused us of being noisy and disruptive overnight, keeping all the guests awake during the night.
From our perspective, we made no excessive noise.
Because we were not allowed back inside, we couldn't retrieve all of our belongings before leaving.
We've stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world, and this is the only time we've had an experience like this. It was genuinely distressing, and I'd urge anyone, families in particular to think carefully before booking here."
