"Amazing property!!! If you want to be out of the city centre of Sorrento but have the option to get in to town. Only 2 euros and 10 minutes on the bus into the city, bus stops right at the hotel door. Amazing views from the rooftop pool over to Capri. Beuatiful!!! Staff and owner are great. Food was very nice. I would stay there againd. "

"We originally booked here because it was close to the hospital, where our daughter was being treated. Just one minute away! At the base of a beautiful scenic 400m hillside, the Hotel Villa Maria has exceeded our expectations! Our room was clean and comfortable and comes with a private balcony! The hotel staff is very accommodating and the restaurant manager Luigi makes everyone feel special upon arrival! The pool is very nice and full of sunshine, and the pool bar is very reasonable. The drinks are delicious! Wonderful pool staff! Don’t forget on Thursday night that you have a pool party with a DJ, which is quite entertaining! 😂 The front desk staff has been very helpful as we have needed a number of things printed and prepared for the hospital, and they have been very accommodating, and full of smiles! They speak very good English, not needed but use Google translate to help sometimes. 😊 We’ve had to extend our trip a couple of times and they have been been helpful. The hotel is close to the main street of Sorrento. Just a short walk to everything it has to offer. I think you pay a little less because you are off the main strip, and it is probably quieter too. Don’t forget to go up to the sixth floor and take some pictures! You see all of Sorrento, Naples, Mount Vesuvius and all the other cities nearby. Just beautiful! "We booked for five nights in Sorrento in one of the Sea View, King Bed rooms. The hotel was perfect for our stay and the room was excellent. We had a lovely balcony with a view of the sea and Mount Vesuvius. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the executive lounge was a nice touch. The hotel can easily be walked to from Sorrento train station. We also really enjoyed the gym, outdoor pool and padel courts. We highly recommend this hotel and were sad to leave. "

"I had stayed at the Grand Aminta pre-COVID and had a great stay there. This time I brought another group of friends for a local visit, and we also had a fabulous time. The room was a nice size, and we were upgraded to a balcony terrace room. We enjoyed the views and fresh air breezes until evening. Unfortunately, cyclists like to rev their engines as they head up the winding hills so we were not able to sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was good each morning and watching the sun rise over the hills was especially relaxing. We had dinner at the hotel several nights. The bracciole was to die for -- tender, well-seasoned and in a delicious red sauce. Motto bene!!! The hotel provides a shuttle service into downtown Sorrento. It leaves every hour and returns on the half-hour, starting at 9am. We walked from the shuttle drop off to the local train to Pompeii and then another day walked to the ferry to Capri for a day. Another day, we had a small group tour of the Amalfi Coast and took an Uber from the hotel which was easy to arrange. I highly recommend the Grand Aminta for convenience, great service and comfortable accommodations!"
