Be prepared for driving on windy roads with tight turns, but definitely worth the drive. Katia was a wonderful hostess for breakfast, always with a kind word and a smile. "

"Such a wonderful slice of heaven. Definitely visit this property. The staff were fantastic & so helpful. A bottle of sparkling wine at the pool was âŹ18 and absolutely delicious. The breakfast omelette was delightful, the dinner was delicious. The pool was sensational, such a lovely place to be. Book it! We had a vineyard suite, the Manor House ones seemed further away. "

"Wow! What a privilege to stay in a one of a kind architecturally amazing home overlooking the Douro River. JoĂŁo, our host, helped us navigate our way to the home and welcomed us with chocolate, wine and kindness.The accommodations lacked nothing. The home was clean, comfortable, beautiful, well-appointed and a view that felt more like a postcard than reality.I would definitely recommend this home, and personally, I look forward to another opportunity to visit.Thank you JoĂŁo for everything!"
"Amazing views, right above the gorgeous Duoro River. Fabulous staff, breakfast delivered to room each morning. Location is a bit remote, requiring driving crazy mountain roads to get anywhereâŠ.but worth it!"
"Property was beautiful with amazing views. We had the room with king bed which was very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the mornings which was eggs, pastries and fruit - all very tasty and fresh. Marta the host was accommodating and very friendly. They also have a pool which unfortunately we not able to enjoy as it was cool. "
