"What a Gem of a hotel in the Eastern Sierra! We loved this unpretentious, very comfortable lodge. Recently remodeled, everything is super clean. Our Room (#1) overlooked Bridgeport's Main Street and the beautiful 1880 courthouse across the street. Main Street is also Hwy 395, but at night it's not busy. "I always wanted to stay at the Bridgeport Inn and finally got my chance - I was not disappointed and in fact it was even better than I hoped! It's not your typical hotel/motel experience so if that's what you want you should try somewhere else. But, if you want to stay in a cool old hotel, love antiques and history, and enjoy a great bar and food then this is your place. I got a single room with a bathroom since I was concerned about bathroom privacy. I checked out the shared bathroom situation since it's not well described on the hotel site - it's a shared bathroom but the bathroom itself is private behind a door; same as the shower room. I would not hesitate to get one of those rooms in the future. The motel part (new building) was not appealing to me but I like the old buildings so maybe that's just me. I will be looking for a reason to stay here again!"

"This is a motor court. The kind that was built in the '50s to accommodate car travelers. It's not a high class hotel. If you're passing through, or staying in Bridgeport for a few days to enjoy the outdoors it's a great choice. It is a motor court run by people who care about it. They keep it updated, well maintained, and clean. They are very helpful and friendly. The same person who checked me in at night was outside picking up trash in the morning. This is the kind of authentic hospitality you won't get from a corporate chain. It has everything necessary for a stay, including chairs and a desk. It has screen doors, so you can leave the front door open and get some fresh air when it's nice out, which it often is in Bridgeport."

"Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. The room was beautiful, the property was well maintained, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our only disappointment was the check-in experience when we arrived a little early. We understood that check-in was not available until 3:00 p.m., but some of our questions about the property and room requests were met with very brief responses. We were hoping for a bit more hospitality and information about the amenities while we waited. Fortunately, our experience improved significantly at check-in. We were welcomed warmly, received a lovely room, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The spa, BBQ area, and lakefront setting were all great additions. Aside from the initial interaction, everyone we encountered was kind and accommodating. We loved our room and had a very enjoyable visit overall."

"Very clean, only one washcloth for 2 people for 2 nites. We had a hard time with the shower, no water pressure couldn’t get rinse d off properly . Also very slippery in the shower, slid once but grabbed the handle. We loved the outside amenities. The stream and pond were very relaxing and calming. Didn’t use the pool and spa but we walked through, very clean and appealing."

Lake Front Cabins

"Firstly Lakefront Cabins are not Lakefront nor are they cabins. It is set up more like a motel all connected rooms. That said the accommodations were clean and cute and comfortable. I just think it is very deceptive to allude that they are lakefront and actual cabins. Should be disclosed, since that is what I booked for."
