A river flowing through a town with stone buildings and a bridge.

A modern hotel room with a wooden dining table, a sofa, a TV, and a balcony with a view of the mountains.

A compact living space with a sofa, a small wooden table with a tray, a microwave, and a dishwasher.

A swimming pool with lounge chairs and umbrellas, surrounded by trees and a wooden deck.

Ax-les-Thermes

"The apartments are nice but the hotel is located at the junction of two mountain rivers which are very noisy. The internet said that the hotel had 24hr reception but it is only open for limited hours and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hotel swimming pool was also closed for the first part of our visit. Probably all this was incorporated into the price we paid but the advertising didn't state it."

Top Montbel Hotel Reviews

Hôtel-Bar Le Bellevue

10/10 Excellent

"Central with a bar and breakfast"

Hotel La Chaumiere

10/10 Excellent

"We only stayed one night on our way to carcassonne from having seen chateau de peyreperteuse. The hotel was very clean and welcoming and the owner was very helpful. The town was exceptionally cute. I wish we had booked a longer stay to take better advantage of the activities the town had to offer."

Hotel Lons

10/10 Excellent

"A very nice hotel with a comfortable bed and pillows right in the heart of the old city."

Hôtel Pyrène

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was very good and I enjoyed my stay. The only drawback is that it's about 2km from the town centre and at least part of the walk is along a very busy main road, so a car is desirable."

Rose des Pyrénées

10/10 Excellent

"I had a very good stay here. My room was very comfortable and clean with good air-con. The hotel has a nice garden with a small swimming pool, perfect on a hot afternoon. I had 2 dinners - both excellent and good value. I did however think the breakfast was rather disappointing, would have been nice to have more choice and fresh jams etc, rather than plastic pots."

Brit Hotel Confort Foix
