We are atop the Cumberland Plateau, and our mountain home overlooks a beautiful bluff area. With an expansive view from the dining and living rooms, as well as the primary suite, it`s easy to forget the world below and focus on family, relaxation, and time away from it all.

Guests can access all the main parts of the house. This includes the kitchen and its many amenities, including a refrigerator and freezer, the dining island that seats 6 to 8 people, the dining area that seats 6 to 8, a living room that comfortably seats the same, three lockable bedrooms, two baths, and the laundry facilities. For those working while traveling, the foyer has a built-in desk so you can still be part of the action and not miss a beat. The kitchen island has plenty of space for computers and charging as well.

Netflix is available for TV services/apps. The living room TV is a casting television and will work with your device and app once you download the Vizio app.

Plus: We have an observation deck where you can see nature from a higher vantage point, watch the stars at night, or just sit back on the swing and enjoy the surrounding view of mountains and trees.

We are on a nearby property, so we are available during your stay at the mountain lodge.

The South Cumberland Bluff House is in a quiet neighborhood with only one neighboring house. It`s serene and unique. The home is partially underground, made of area stone on the exterior, with several rooms having local barn wood on the interior. Our family has painstakingly renovated this house and is so happy to share it with others to enjoy.

Additional Guests Info: We charge $10 per person per day for each additional guest beyond the initial two.

There is plenty of parking in the driveway. We are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but there are bike, hiking, and walking trails close by.

The TV in the living room is a `casting television.` This means you can share the TV screen using your phone or device after downloading the app. Netflix and other apps are available on the Smart TV, too.

**NOTE: We will abide by our cancellation policy and will not reduce booked nights for a refund, nor will we accept alterations except for additional nights or additional guests. Dates WILL NOT be altered for future stays. Refunds will subtract card processing fees. Thank you for understanding.

We highly recommend this rental! The home was clean & comfortable. Communication with Ben was excellent & very responsive. It was an easy drive into Monteagle. We’ll definitely look into renting with Ben if our travels bring us back to the area!

Tennessee getaway

We spent a long weekend at the Bluff House in April. Had a great time. Great views and a short drive to the Caverns along beautiful country roads.Found some fantastic trails to hike and some very good restaurants in the surrounding communities. The communication with Ben and Tori was fantastic and we will definitely be back.

Bluff House paradise

This is a beautiful property with an unbeatable view/location. The house is immaculate and equipped with anything we could need. Tori greeted us most graciously and shared stories of the history of the house and of the area. WiFi is great. Kitchen has top of the line appliances. All in all a great stay. We surely hope to come back.

A beautiful place to stay after a hard day’s work

Co-hosts were friendly and polite. The house was a clean and comfortable. View was spectacular, especially from the rooftop deck. I would recommend this property to family and friends. The big backyard was private, literally at the end of the road.Did I mention the view… Seeing the photos on line from the vantage point of Bluff House overlooking over the valley, is what drove my decision to stay there. It was better in real life. Just what my weary soul needed.

Incredible Views

The Bluff House was amazing! I cannot imagine a more beautiful view from right outside the master bedroom window. The area is quiet except for the relaxing sound of a waterfall nearby. We saw lots of deer, had everything we needed in town and had a great time. Thanks!

Bluff House get-away

Our two night stay at Bluff House was just wonderful; we all enjoyed it so much. Tori met us at check-in and gave us the tour and explained how everything worked. The house was very clean, and unlike some rentals I've stayed at, very comfortably furnished. The bluff view was spectacular, particularly from the rooftop deck, and we enjoyed the firepit. All in all, our stay at Bluff House exceeded our expectations and we plan on coming back next fall!

My family had an amazing stay at the bluff House. The hosts were lovely and absolutely everything we needed was there at the house. They even accommodated a special request for a kitchen item. Would definitely recommend this property for a quiet getaway.

Bluff House Magic

We were badly in need of a four-night getaway, and the Bluff House was exactly made to order! This was our second stay at this property, and once again we were dazzled by the incredible view, and by the privacy. Saw several deer multiple times, and had a visit by a pileated woodpecker. This place is so perfect in every way, and hosts couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful! Highly recommend!

Fantastic property

We absolutely enjoyed the bluff house! It had the best views as advertised. So much nature around to enjoy and hike the fiery gizzard waterfalls 😍 Tori and Ben were a delight and we appreciate their suggestions and help while visiting. We can’t wait to book for next year, too!

Wonderful family getaway

We stayed here with our teen and younger daughter. The lodge itself was amazing with an equally amazing view. There was plenty of amenities on the property. Nearby, South Cumberland State Park offers plenty of activities outdoors. We really enjoyed ourselves here, it was like a home away from home. The owners are amazing and not only have we told our friends and family how amazing it all was, we will also be back!

Tennessee adventures

My husband I and stayed here, along with my sister and brother-in-law. We all had a fantastic time. The view was amazing, and the house was the perfect size for the four of us. We were located about 20 minutes or less to all the things we wanted to do.

The view from the house is spectacular! The location is a bit remote which is a positive if that's what you are looking for. The house is charming and nicely renovated. The clawfoot tubs were a bit difficult to get in and out of so I would be aware if you have an elderly member of your party.

Great weekend!

The view was magnificent from the rooftop deck, and the home was very. Omfortable and inviting. Excellent experience, and we will be returning in the Fall when the leaves turn to enjoy the colors and a glass of champagne on the deck.

As advertised, superb spot

Truly exceptional hosts-- many are purported to be but Ben and Tori are the real deal. The property is stunning and the view is remarkable. House is well decorated, comfy, and offers all the amenities you need. Excellent place to just "get away" if you're a couple but could also easily accommodate a large family or group. Be sure to visit Foster Falls to swim, Blue Chair Bakery for great coffee and breakfast, and across the street there's Lunch (that's the name, lunch only!).

This was a perfect place for a nice quiet relaxing weekend getaway.

The pictures posted don’t do justice! The view was breathtaking. We enjoyed our quiet evenings outside by the fire pit watching the sun go down. We enjoyed hearing the history of the house from Tori. This is a beautiful family home that has been well loved. They’ve made some really nice updates but kept the house warm and cozy. We would definitely stay here again.
