"The property is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The orchid garden and the peacocks strolling around the grounds are a lovely touch, and there is plenty of space on the beach, making it easy to relax. Our room was clean, and the mattress was comfortable. My daughter also really enjoyed the Pilates and yoga classes, and had a very good massage at the spa, which was a wonderful part of our stay.
The restaurants were generally good, but the buffet could use some improvement. The salad bar had a nice variety, and the fruit selection was excellent. However, the quality of some of the hot dishes was inconsistent. The pork was undercooked and still bloody inside, the lamb was far too salty, and the beef was tough and rubbery.
We understand that staff members are allowed to eat at the buffet, but on several occasions the fish had already been taken for staff meals, leaving none for paying guests. It was either not replenished for a long time or not replenished at all. As paying guests, we found this disappointing. Having a separate meal station or dining area for staff would help ensure guests always have access to the full buffet.
This is definitely a family-friendly hotel, which we appreciated. However, there seemed to be very little supervision of some children in the buffet. Better supervision and enforcement of hygiene standards in the dining area would make the experience more enjoyable for everyone. But overall we had a pleasant stay."
