Staff was great very friendly, took care of all of our needs. Great place to stay very peaceful at day or night. Food was great even if I would’ve liked more variety. Rooms need to be updated but you can see they are doing updates in other places first.
I love the park like tranquility of the property, the sounds of the birds and the wind moving through the variety of trees, coupled with the blue water ocean was like paradise. Not to be overlooked was the food. It was delicious, delectable and delightful.

The food could be better, and while some rooms have been renovated, others leave much to be desired. The person in charge of the tours was excellent.
All was excellent. From the staff, to the food and entertainment. The pool and public areas were very clean and well maintained, including the beach.
The rooms were clean, but they could use an upgrade. The hairdryer and fridge were very dated, but nothing to discourage anyone from visiting. It was definitely a wonderful vacation!
We had an amazing time! The Entertainment for the children was spectacular. My daughter loved the nightly MiniDisco. Thanks to Kitty, Sky, and Chocolate for making my baby smile and making her feel special. The dancers and shows were thrilling:-) The food was great. Plenty of activities and spa amenities available. It was a delight and we felt very safe, making this our first solo mother daughter trip!
Staff was amaizing, María on checking, Marlene an Hansel at the Bar were outstanding. Rooms were ok , but mosquitos and coucroches where seen. Food in general was ok. Service is the soul of this hotel. The común áreas need manteinance
Very clean, no issue. Good food and drinks every where

sadly you get what you pay for. Price was good but had a few complaints. ac not working when i got to the room, they fixed it later and same with the toilet and heard other people complaining about room theft. i keep my room clean during my stay because apparently the cleaning crew also “cleans” your belongings . my advice don’t leave cash or expensive belongings in the room and clean the room yourself. i felt safe there and the food was good or excellent for the money, the place is beautiful and beach is nice. i say i would recommend it when money is tight.
I wouldn't return there again. Rooms were outdated. Room phone didn't work for the entire length of our stay. Also, there were very few outlets in the room. Internet was only available in the lobby and not all the time. Few times we had power outages at night. No air-conditioning facilities besides the room where we stayed, ice-cream and coffee shop. 75% of the fans in the the theater area didn't work. We couldn't even watch the shows.
The staff was nice though (helped us with the room issues). The beach was also beautiful.

The beach was beautiful and close to the room, the air conditioning worked non stop and most of the staff, once they see you give them tips, were nice and helpful. Especially the cleaning staff. However, the room was basic (even though we booked a superior room), the bathtub was kinda gross with peeling paint and rusty unfixed shower head, the stores had exorbitant prices. We did sort of expect this based on other reviews and this was in out budget. The beach and water saved the vacation. The major plus factor: Pradise Island excursion! A must. Also, be careful of the strong water currents. Doable but with attention! We used and were very happy with a private tour in the city with Francisco Pop private tours (on Facebook). He is very kind and knowledgeable and patient and speaks English and French besides Spanish. Highly recommend him.

Nice Budget resort. I found out later that the resort is part of part of the senator hotel umbrella and is right next to the playa bachata resort. If I would have known I might alhave stayed there instead. The views are nicer, the property is better maintained there. Nevertheless, I had a good time at playabachata especially for the price, which was about nearly half the price the senator hotel for the days I booked. The service was good, but the activities could be better and scheduling for things like the optional restaurant reservations could be better. There was however a buffet available 3 times a fay with a nice selection of food.

I have been to this resort 3 times over the past 10 years. Pros: Staff always friendly and willing to assist with concerns. The overall vibe is a fun. The Michael Jackson show was the best! ❤️ Hanging by the Plaza bar was fun also. The person who cleaned my room Nairoby, was great! Bartenders were all great also! The beach is literally 2 mins away which was definately a plus!
Cons: definately need to do some remodeling/upgrades. The rooms look the same way they did 10 years ago. We we were in need of a wheel chair and the 2 provided were not worth using (my step dad preferred to walk). The air conditioner was not as cold as it should of been, the temps were super high outside during my stay (would have loved to return to a cold room). The weekends the resort is super crowded with locals making lines at the buffet super long and with not much air in the eating areas you are sweating before you sit down to eat! Most of the shows are at the sister hotel, which is a walk when they place you in a room all the way in the back!
Not saying I wouldnt return BUT hoping rennovations are in their future plans. ☺️

At the from desk "almost" everybody was friendly, food is good, entertainment 👎, no wifi in rooms so if you want to make a phone call you must go to the lobby, there's no service at the beach side, etc etc....will I go back there? Definitely not!! The beach is very nice and good for children 👌just make sure yourself reservation specify with detail yourself room....I ask for ocean view, I didn't get , they wanted to charge $160 extra to give it to me. Nobody was responsible for anything, especially Expedia.
This is a basic resort that you definitely get what you paid for. With only one pool in the resort for all the guests you can expect to find a lot of dirt, hair and other items floating. Our AC in the room also leaked water all over our luggage and got a lot of items wet. It took maintenance over 2 hours to get our room to attempt to fix the AC (which he did not) and instead just poured more dirty water over clothes we had drying on a chair. When we requested to speak to a manager no manager was available at night time, when we asked about possibly getting the clothes washed or dried, we were given many ifs and unknowns. The entertainment was actually pretty good but the food was just okay with at night time having no real options or variety. The beach was clean though and was overall nice. We will definitely not be back though, definitely not worth it.

Room and location of my room was excellent, hotel size for a family trip with kids was amazing. But as soon as we walked in, they offered a 90 min breakfast to get to know the next door hotel, that was a lie, they did give us breakfast but then consumed my entire morning trying to convince us to buy a luxury package. That was my only full day in the hotel, and they would not let us leave until I got aggravated, left at 12:30 to grab my kids and ended up eating a cold lunch and lost my entire morning. Dinner, I booked a reservation to a restaurant, location was provided incorrectly and I arrived 10 min late. Also, I ordered a beef steak that did not taste like that, I was not eating meat, just tried it and left my entire dinner, my food was salty. Food had flavor but salt over powered their meals, at to buffet as well. Fruits and salad were good. Drinks were watered down I felt. No real activity other than a basic hotel. I don't think I would come again. You can see the cruise ship leave in the afternoon from the beach.
This was our second stay at this resort since 2023. Our first visit was with family, and this time it was just my boyfriend and me. Once again, we had a great experience. The property is clean, well-maintained, and offers comfortable accommodations. The buffet was average (3/5), but I highly recommend making reservations at the specialty restaurants as soon as you arrive. Both the Italian and Steakhouse restaurants were very good (4/5) and provided a much better dining experience.
During our stay, the resort was renovating some of the restaurant and snack bar areas, with completion expected by the end of June. The upgrades looked great and should be a nice addition for future guests.
The beach was decent, with plenty of lounge chairs available throughout the day. The water conditions were surprisingly good considering storms were affecting Florida and parts of the Atlantic. The resort also offers several activities, including pool games, excursions, complimentary kayaking, and on-site jet ski and ATV rentals. There were nightly family-friendly shows as well as live music at the bar.
What stood out most was the exceptional staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Special thanks to Gisselle for the wonderful facials and massages, Daniel for baggage assistance, Meille for the beautiful braids, Luis for keeping the pool area in excellent condition, Bulin for helping with presentations and restaurant reservations, and Ydalmy for her excellent buffet serv
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was nice, clean, and well organized. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. I really enjoyed my stay and felt comfortable throughout my visit. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again!
