"Staff / manager tried her best to address issues and was very kind… keep in mind this street has may historical older Spanish style buildings, that’s the charm of this street… and this hotel is not the exception. So with older buildings, there will be water temperature issues, insulation is not as up to date , nor door seals - so you will hear outside noise. Inside decor of our suite was very cute & cozy. Part of the Spanish charm of the building is the Spanish outside clay tiles ( probably original) but when employees roll their carts over them they are very loud especially when rolling close to your unit. Breakfast - was an issue for me, I was not to happy… but the manager addressed it and said she’s speak to the breakfast team… as all food should be continued to be made available up until 10am. (If you need a filling breakfast w protein- it’s probably best to go out instead). "

"Parking was easy, although crowded for a large truck. The room was clean and the property was nice. Easy access to the wharf and local restaurants. "

"The staff was very friendly and I felt safe at night walking the parking lot and standing out front on the sidewalk. The rooms were clean and with two children I appreciated that there was a door separating the two beds instead of the typical side by side; loved this most about the room. The fireplace worked great and the shower was nice. "

"We always wanted to spend some time in Monterey, so we found this hotel, the Days Inn by Wyndham, 2 stories hotel, on a busy street and it was very affordable. Very close to Downtown Monterey and the Fisherman’s Warf, in about 6 minutes walk. So the hotel’s office is very cozy and staff is so friendly and welcoming. The hotel feels that the venue was renovated recently. There’s a coffee and various cold drinks vending machine for free of charge, access to the machine is free 8 am -10 pm, I think that is cool. So we asked if we could stay on the second floor, knowing that if a room is on the first floor possibility of someone keeping you all night from above, so we are on the second level room, however you can still hear people talking or furniture move or even drawers opening, the walls are not that sound proof. The floors in a room is hardwood floors, only one office chair, once again the hotel was recently renovated. The mattress is okay, little bit firmer, but it depends on a guest. Pillows don’t stay in their shape and very soft. The shower head is not retractable, the bathroom doesn’t have a sink, but the sink is located outside of the bathroom, but within the room. Water is loud and instant hot water is flowing, I think it’s good, however make sure if you have kids, supervise them. Nice a small closet and large mirror glass on the wall. Overall it is very great location to many amenities, big room, but soundproofing is not that much. "

"Great central location with a Starbucks across the street. Perfect for business trip and family trip as well. Very close to the aquarium. Wonderful staff. We forgot our laptop with movies on it on checkout and the front desk staff were extremely helpful and looking for it. When they couldn't find it in the room, they said that we were welcome to look for it. We eventually did find it. Really great service and very friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again in the future."

"A cozy room with a balcony only a few blocks from downtown and Fishermans Wharf. Breakfast is quite decent. Some parking is covered. "
