Hotel needs an upgrade & update in many things, including maintenance. Nice building in a beautiful neighborhood but it lacks regular maintenance!

This is my second time staying at OWN Montevideo. We had an excellent stay, mainly due to the friendly and caring staff. Also, it is particularly convenient that they serve breakfast until 11 am.

Sorry guys, not telling that next to the hotel is a construction side, is a No go. The breakfast is not up to international standarts. The hotel is in general to noisy. The staff in outstanding. Rooms are daily cleaned and OK

This is an excellent option for business trips. I strongly recommend arriving early for breakfast, because the restaurant area is quite small and can get packed quickly. As an Expedia member, they pampered me very well with a nice room. The only issue is that the window next to the bathroom doesn't close fully.

Highly recommend this hotel. Stayed 6 days after traveling in Chile and Argentina. Thought I got to haven. Clean and safe. Great service. Next to modern and popular shopping and in waling distance to beach and Rambla.

I travel a lot but don’t write reviews often. I thought this hotel deserves one. I have found the combination of hotel service, room quality and friendliness of the staff to be uniquely well orchestrated. The room was excellent and the staff attended to any special requests I made without any delay. They were amazing. I highly recommend this hotel and would return when I visit Uruguay again.

The hotel needs a major restoration - our room had stains from previous water damage, mold in the shower, cracked mirror in bathroom, a USB “outlet” with no USB plug actually installed, cracked headboard on the bed, and plenty of scuffs and marks along furniture.

For the price and supposed 4* rating, this property was not good. If it was MUCH cheaper and 3*, I could consider it a good property. Good: Rooms were large and beds were very big and comfy. Everything clean. Didn’t like that my window looked straight into another guests room but I guess that's just bad luck. Staff were nice and helpful. Bad: the pool is tiny (ok) with only 4 very old wooden sunbeds of which 3 were broken. None had cushions. No towels or attended bar to get drinks. Pool itself was not very clean and some of the pool lights were hanging off the walls. Bad: Each time I arrived for breakfast (30mins before breakfast service finishes), they had run out of almost everything and I would have to ask to make me more specially.

We stayed one night because we were moving into our new home, just around the block. First impressions matter: we arrived late at night, exhausted from a very long flight. We had a lot of luggage. No luggage carts to haul it inside the building and of course, no doorman. So, the very nice evening concierge helped us. To us, no carts is something bewildering. We wanted to take a shower that night, but there were just 2 bath towels in the bathroom, so we waited until the next AM. Lastly: Shower had black fungus all around it. Now, I live in UY, and know this can happen due to the high humidity of the local weather. But, one has to constantly fight it. It is unacceptable in a hotel of this rating. Period. Plus, the room was dusty. Someone should check every day that the cleaning is done properly. Finally, another unacceptable thing happened. We went to have breakfast and were reminded of its closing time at least 45 minutes before by the woman in charge of that area. I find this rude. We felt we were being kicked out. We did not complain because we had already done so regarding the above mentioned details and we did not wish to be a pest.
