"This hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay in Montezuma. The breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely friendly. We even got an upgrade from a regular room to a balcony and they let us check in a few hours early because the room was ready. Hotel was clean and quiet. We saw a ton of wildlife right outside of our room… monkeys, iguanas, squirrels and a ton of unique birds. The location was perfect allowing you to walk to the beach and the main street where all of the stores and restaurants are. Would definitely stay here again. "

"We had a really good stay at El Sano Banano overall. The highlight was definitely the staff — everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to Miguel at the restaurant, who was our favorite server. He went above and beyond and made our experience even better. The hotel itself was clean and well-kept, and the location is fantastic — just a short walk to the beach and right in the heart of town, which made everything super convenient. That said, there are a few smaller things that could be improved to make the stay even better. The WiFi in the room was quite slow, and the in-room safe wasn’t working. The window coverings are bamboo-style and let in a lot of light at night and early morning, plus they don’t offer much privacy from the street. At the restaurant, the food was good but a bit limited — the only protein option available was shredded chicken. For the complimentary breakfast, only one coffee is included with no refills, which felt a bit restrictive. Housekeeping could also be improved, as our dirty towels weren’t replaced during room cleanings. The room itself is fairly basic — no TV or fridge — which may matter depending on your preferences. Water pressure in both the shower and sink would occasionally cut out for about 20 seconds before coming back, which was a bit frustrating. We also weren’t able to get early check-in, and our room wasn’t ready until about 10 minutes after the official check-in time, even though there appeared to be other "

"Wonderful house with great amenities. Clean and modern and a great value. Could not stay out of the pool and when we did, we relaxed on the deck which has a variety of comfortable seating..Close to town where we went for a few meals and to do a little shopping. Highly recommended."

"We loved staying at Toucan house and would highly recommend it if you love nature. We woke up to birds and Howler monkeys. Everything is green. The yard is beautiful. You can hear the ocean. Our host was so very helpful with recommendations. Parking would be easy but we did not have a car. Taxi is available or you can walk to town. It was truly magical. "

"Joachim is a great host. Very organized and attentive. The view is stunning, and the wildlife is off the charts! We saw howler monkeys and white faced monkeys right next to the house. We also saw some critters on the ground next to the porch, and agouti, and one I can't remember the name of. All manner of birds, probably 30 different species. "

"Beautiful villas with the most beautiful view. The pool is magical, the patio areas the perfect place to look out on the ocean. The villas themselves are large and comfortable. Kitchens had everything we needed to make a meal. Highly recommend. "
