I was thankful for Shaneka and her wonderful hospitality. Another lady in the office helped with directions to Sweet Creek Farm Market--the BBQ is AMAZING by the way!
When we first got to the hotel we were given a room in the back of the hotel. It was dirty looking with black questionable stuff on the carpets and curtains. The room had fleas and evidence of a recent pet occupant. When we went to the front desk, they immediately apologized and put us in a room near the front. The room was much cleaner, but still had an "uck" feel. I never took my shoes off and I covered the couch with a sheet so I didn't have to sit directly on it.
The ice machine didn't work, and Sheneka was so professional as to make sure the worker/maintenance guy came back to our room to see if he could fix it (the ice in main office did not work either). He pulled the fridge out and then suggested that we unplug it and let the ice inside the lines melt, then plug it back in.
This hotel would be amazing if someone would pressure wash the sidewalks and outside walls (that are covered with mildew and mold looking stuff). There is no breakfast, coffee, or tea readily available.
Again, the rooms and property would be great if it were cleaned and better taken care of.
The service was great. I would not recommend or return, but that is no reflection on the office staff--more the upkeep/maintenance.
