"As a history geek and a crafter, I immediately fell in love with this place, perched up on a hill, clearly seen from the main road. The current owners Ken and Sarah have lovingly restored the house to its 19th century elegance, whilst maintaining the 16th century Tudor elements. "Fantastic service from the owners, they made us feel very welcome upon arrival. The beds were super comfortable and that was coupled with a great view. Lots of little details which added character to the room and gave it a homey feel such as small ornaments. The breakfast was lovely, a large selection of cold meats, pastries etc even though it was only us staying. Only a 10 minute drive to Newtown so it has everything you need."

"Lovely friendly hotel, service was fabulous, we stayed with three young children and felt very at home here. They especially loved the swimming pool and the buffet breakfast. Dinner is served a bit late for children (6pm) but we enjoyed exploring the local area to find somewhere to eat. We stayed in a family room and there was plenty of space, we liked that there were two separate areas within the same room. "
