Home on Lake Shafer with 120 Ft Waterfront

Lake front property on Lake Shafer. this home has 120 feet of lake front. great place to swim and dock your boat. Home has two large patios one with a outdoor fireplace and the other a great place for sun tanning. Both overlooking the lake. Imagine relaxing on the patio drinking your beverage and eating your favorite grilled masterpiece while watching the sun set in the distance over the lake.

Inside you have three nice size bedrooms two with queen beds and one with a king bed with its own bathroom. you also have a pull out couch that will sleep two nicely and an additional couch that is awesome to sleep on. there is also a love seat that a small child could sleep on also.

Family room has 42 in tv over the top of the fire place with a surround sound and dvd player.

Very nice full kitchen with all the items needed to cook the dinner of your choice also a gas grill just outside on the patio. diswasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker

Nice place

This was a pretty nice house, not exactly ‘ newly’ renovated but still ok. Furniture in the living area needs replaced badly but the beds we’re comfortable and you are really paying for the lake access. AC worked hard but it was an exceptionally hot week. View is great. The water in the house does have an odor and directions to place the bedding would be nice also directions on how to work the shower in the bathroom with the bathtub. Otherwise it was a lovely stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property! Was able to bring our boat and enjoy some family time on the water and visited Indiana Beach. Would highly recommend!

Was a great time, was not sure which house it was , neighbors helped us. Everything in the house was great and worked out very well for us. Just was not sure what all we should do upon departing with bedding and towels and things like that.

Family get together

This property is just as advertised. The owner was very responsive and the house was very clean. It was just off the main lake in a channel and very quiet. My dad was able to easily tie his boat up without any issues after launching at the marina. It really was a great little place that allowed me to stay while I was back home visiting family.

From Ireland to Lake Shaffer

Kitchen was well stocked with dishes. House was spotless. Fun card games available. Only issue was the AC that struggled on the 90 plus day. Very quiet seldom even saw a boat on the lake.

Great place for family vacation

The house was a great home-base for our family's trip to Lake Shafer. The six of us (2 adults & 4 kids) were more than comfortable inside the house. Everything inside was new and well kept. The two decks in the back with the outdoor fireplace and the seawall were great for swimming and just hanging out. The usual tourist attractions of Indiana Beach and Lake Shafer/Lake Freeman were a short drive away. Our kids, ages 8-14, loved the place. We'll be back.

Excellent stay and a wonderful experience!!

This rental property is a gem, offering a clean and well-maintained environment that ensures a comfortable living experience. Its prime location provides easy access to the lake and is only a 5-minute drive to the amusement park. The golf course is also conveniently located, making everything enjoyable and convenient. We enjoyed a vacation with our children, their spouses, and young grandson. Everyone had a great time. This home is right on the water. It has two huge outdoor areas-a patio with fireplace & grill and a deck area. Both look out over the water. The home is equipped with dishes, cookware, flatscreen TV, DVD, movies, & games.

Stay for Purdue graduation

This was advertised as sleeping 9. It does not. It is a lake cottage of modest size. Even with five adults you would be bumping elbows. No dressers in any bedroom, but there are closets. No laundry machines. Two 12” pantry shelves to fit your kitchen supplies or food. All other cabinets stuffed with mismatched cookware, plates & drinkware. Deck was nice but all furniture well covered in bird droppings that were not recent. I spent first morning of vacation going to Walmart 25 mins away to buy a bucket & scrub brush to clean deck furniture. Owner responded with a skeptical “sorry” 4 days later.Food crumbs & popcorn in creases of couches. Floors dirty. Not what you expect given steep cleaning fee.

Graduation

Good layout inside and back decks were nice. But there is no curb appeal and when you shower smells like rotten eggs not sure if that is from well water. Was not mentioned on the website. Nice drive from Purdue University but longer than expected all back roads.

Perfect Covid Getaway - Beautiful Location

We booked this trip several months in advance with the complete unknown of how things would be in the Covid world by the time October came. We chose something away from the bigger cities, but close enough if we wanted to visit them. Due to the Covid uptick, we decided not to visit other areas, but we didn't need to! It was the perfect getaway for a quarantine change of scenery with no worries about our health or safety. The house was super clean and the numbers in the country/area are extremely low. The guys golfed every day in nearby courses they loved. There were plenty of great restaurant options for lunch and dinner out or delivered. The drive to town is short and pretty country roads. We were a little concerned about the condition of the property based on some other reviews, but I can assure you it is very nice! For four adults, we very much enjoyed the beautiful patio (the tables/chairs were in good condition, unlike a previous review), the grill one night and the outdoor fireplace multiple nights, which helped us enjoy the gorgeous lake view in the crisp Fall temperatures. The master suite bed is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and the house had more than enough space for us and is fully and nicely stocked. The living room TV is much bigger than the listing said, which was a perk for football Sunday! I highly recommend this property and the owner was prompt and courteous in the couple times I reached out with a question before and during our stay.
