This was a wonderful place. I would have made this a destination rather than a quick overnight into France. The building is charing and historic but with nicely updated rooms, comfortable beds and bedding, and lovely farm views. The breakfast was wonderful. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. The setting is serene and beautiful. And the whole stay was very affordable.

Shopped all over the train station area, and I can easily recommend Campanile Metz as very good, inexpensive and literally next door to the train station. Our room faced the train station and we NEVER heard a train. You have to walk thru the train station to get to the restaurants, but Metz is a small town and this is not a big deal.

Very charming hotel in the heart of Metz. Great location close to several attractions and restaurants/cafes. Very friendly staff who were able to accommodate our very poor French.
