"Das Hotel und das zugehörige Restaurant waren - trotz Reservierung für beides - geschlossen! Keine Info weil man uns angeblich nicht erreichen konnte. Weder Mail noch Telefon oder Handy zeigen Versuche.
Immerhin hat man uns notdürftig empfangen und untergebracht. Dafür ein "Danke schön". Zum Abend haben wir unseren Reiseproviant verspeist. Den Abschluss unseres Sommerurlaub haben wir uns ganz anders vorgestellt. Aber wir hatten nach 760 km auf der Autobahn keine Lust auf Suche nach einem Lokal....

This was a wonderful place. I would have made this a destination rather than a quick overnight into France. The building is charing and historic but with nicely updated rooms, comfortable beds and bedding, and lovely farm views. The breakfast was wonderful. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. The setting is serene and beautiful. And the whole stay was very affordable.

There’s no restaurant at the hotel but there are plenty within fifteen minute drive including a Michelin/starred Japanese restaurant you’ll need to book well in advance Otherwise Norah’s gardens are idyllic with egg-laying chickens wandering around occasionally chased by a dog or a granddaughter and fruit from the orchard that grandmother uses to make jam that is served at breakfast…like a location for a French movie

Very charming hotel in the heart of Metz. Great location close to several attractions and restaurants/cafes. Very friendly staff who were able to accommodate our very poor French. Shopped all over the train station area, and I can easily recommend Campanile Metz as very good, inexpensive and literally next door to the train station. Our room faced the train station and we NEVER heard a train. You have to walk thru the train station to get to the restaurants, but Metz is a small town and this is not a big deal.
