Just round the corner from a fantastic bakery (Boulangerie Esprit de Pains) if you don’t want the breakfast. Free extensive oatking. Quite clean and comfortable . "This was the perfect hotel for our family of four! We booked the quadruple room which had two individual bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It came with a mini fridge and armoire and desk in one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom had a bathroom attached. Each room had its own individual air-conditioning units. The hotel was perfectly located next to the river and just steps from all the action in the city. Restaurants, shops, and château’s were easily accessible. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the hotel one morning. It was delicious! Highly recommended!"

"La Maison Rabelais is in the heart of Amboise – well-located and nearly everything is an easy 5-10 minute walk, though the train station is on the other side of the river by 1.5 mi, necessitating a ride. Very nice breakfast – hearty and copious. While the property does NOT have A/C, the room (big and spacious) stayed cool however the ventilation system was configured. It was a little warm at night but not uncomfortable, especially considering afternoons were near 100 F/38 C. Definitely a nice property."
