"Overall 3 stars is the best I can do. Overpriced - but still the cheapest rooms around the area. Basic "dark" room. The shade for the only window in the room had one small tear. Rooms on the first floor look out into a parking lot with people walking around, so best not to open it. Carpet was ok with a few rips here and there, but were sewn. No exhaust fan in the tiny bathroom. Nice location - take a right out of the hotel entrance and walk straight to the lakefront for exercise and sightseeing. Wrigley field 1 mile walk north. Plenty of restaurants and a grocery store - Mariano's short walk. Mini fridge was stacked with approx. 20-25 hard liquor, soda and craft beer available for sale. You must empty the entire refrigerator to put your refrigerated items in and restock. Oh! snacks to buy covering the counter and small desk. I earned a free bottle of wine shown right on the Expedia receipt "1 Free bottle of wine per stay" never offered or received it at check-in. I don't drink wine, so not an issue. However, if you earned a bottle of wine - don't forget to ask for it because the front desk either does not know of the free gift or wait for you to ask. Bring Expedia receipt for proof."
