"Our 9-night stay in Scotland was incredibly relaxing and comfortable. We were so impressed by the thoughtful touches at Aulton Stables, including fresh fruit, milk, bread, eggs and chocolates on arrival. "The place looked quite ominous and derelict with poor signage. There were signs asking for car parking payment, although parking costs were included in the accommodation package. Reception staff did nothing to help clarify this, indeed adding to this confusion for a short while. The accommodation was not as described. Which is really my main gripe. "What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!"
