"I liked the Hotel Rock but it needs some improvements. Pros: loved the bartenders and drinks at the restaurant, Per Diem, cool atmosphere, good location. Cons: staff didn't explain anything about property at check-in, no dishes/utensils/glassware, even though we had a suite with a kitchenette. There were 3 of us staying in the suite (I had to give everyone's name at check-in). However, we had to ask for an extra bath towel both nights of our stay since they only provided two. "

"My family enjoyed this tastefully redone split-level home, and the host has thought of every detail. There were even tea bags in the snack caddy, which delighted the one non-coffee drinker in the family. The house is located close to the Oregon Dairy where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast our first morning in town, and then did our grocery shopping at the dairy grocery store nextdoor. We enjoyed eating on the back deck as the sun was setting, and the positioning of the house is perfect so the deck was sunny in the morning too. The house is pristinely clean and the seating in the great room is comfortable. Lots of options for seating while eating, including the dining table, stools around the island as well as tucked under a table at the back of the couch. There is plenty to do in the area. We actually drove to Columbia and enjoyed visiting the National Watch Museum. It was actually fascinating. John was available for every question I had, and I look forward to visiting again. Top tier host. We loved our stay and know where to go next time. "

"If you are checking in after six, definitely call (like your reservation will say). We did that and still waited for a half hour at the front desk with other parties to check in. It seems there's only one person on duty because we even tried calling to let someone know we were there waiting and nobody answered. Poor water pressure, room wasn't very clean, and even though we booked a room with a sofa bed they told us we may not have linens in the room for it and if we didn't, they had no extras to give us. (Luckily we did.) It wasn't the worst experience I've ever had but it was enough that I wouldn't return. "
