"Hello, I booked a room using Expedia from 3/17-3/20. I contacted Expedia on 3/17 to cancel the booking because I no longer needed the room and was connected to Patrick G, an Expedia customer service representative. Patrick G reported the following: “I was able to contact the hotel, and they have advised that they will not charge your card. While they are unable to cancel the reservation as it is already marked as ‘in stay,’ they have agreed to let the booking go as a no-show without any charges. The good news is that you will not be billed for this reservation. However, please note that the booking cannot be formally canceled on either our end or the hotel’s end at this stage.” While I was assured that I would not be charged, $173.37 was charged to my card on 3/18. This miscommunication between Expedia and Extended Stay America Premier Suites Port Charlotte I75 has soured my opinion of both companies. "

"The pool was too cold to use still. The rooms could have been much cleaner. Use of bleach around the bathroom floors, tub and sink would help. The carpets would benefit greatly from shampooing. "

"The room was very nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is nice, but the outside is dark and unkept when driving to it from the main road. I suspect the unkept property is not owned by the hotel. It's unfortunate that the surrounding area does not take care of the property since the hotel has a nice appearance."

"The house was ideal for our group of nine - very clean and spacious, and close to shopping and restaurants. Check-in and communication were flawless. We loved the kitchen, the TV's, the outside deck and dock, the pool, and the sunsets. The dining room was perfect for our group. A few concerns: 1) The outdoor grill needs replacing. 2) The beds in the upstairs "back room" were unusable for adults. The room is stuffy and very hot, with no fan. Only a few other minor issues: The tubs, sinks & showers seemed to drain slowly, and the upstairs toilet basin needs a new "float." One of the indoor drapes (right side) leading to the pool is loose at the top metal piece. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house, and we would highly recommend this property to other guests."
