It’s an ideal base for exploring Northumberland’s highlights, including Alnwick Castle and Gardens, the Northumberland National Park, and the stunning Northumberland coast with its unspoilt beaches and historic castles.

Getting Around:

A car is recommended to make the most of the area, as Felton is a rural village with limited public transport. The village is conveniently located just off the A1, making it easy to travel north towards Alnmouth and Berwick-upon-Tweed, or south towards Morpeth and Newcastle upon Tyne.



Local bus services do run through the village, connecting Felton with Morpeth and Alnwick, though services may be infrequent, especially in the evenings and on Sundays. Morpeth railway station, approximately a 20-minute drive away, offers direct train services to Newcastle, Edinburgh and London.



Cycling is popular in the area, with quiet country roads and scenic routes, and walking is an excellent way to enjoy the immediate surroundings of the village.
