Mammaw's Mountaintop Retreat

  • It's super cozy, private, quiet, & the perfect get away. Located on 1.38 acres, this 3 bed/2 bath home is across the street from Petit Jean State Park and Lake Bailey. It's also walking distance to the Outpost, Coffeehouse, & very close to Visitors Center, campgrounds, & Museum of Automobiles. Gnomes are hidden throughout the grounds & makes for a fun search for the whole family and deer frequent the property in the evenings. Please note: The 2 bathrooms are in each bedroom suite. The "kids" room with the three twin beds must use the bathrooms in the suites. The security cameras are on the roof. One faces the highway, one faces the driveway and shed.

We had a great time! The property was perfect location, 1 mile from Petite Jean state park and coffee shop next door. The house looked smaller than it realy is, it was spacious and perfect layout. Kids loved playing the gnome hunt game, roasting hotdogs and smores. At night extreme quiet. Amenities are abundunt. Will book again!

The location of the house is within walking distance to the coffee shop and all trailheads are within a 10 minute drive! There was no lakeview due to drought conditions, but the property is still pretty. Seven adults fit perfectly in the home and we had an amazing time.

Perfect getaway on the mountain

Wonderful place to stay at Petit Jean

I you want your own house and outdoor space right at Petit Jean State Park this is the place for you. Comfortable and well maintained, with a fire pit, BBQ and washer/dryer too. Good option for visiting the park.

New Year Trip

Perfect Getaway!

Truly enjoyed MawMaw’s Mountaintop Retreat. It was the perfect getaway for us. Good time of the year for this trip (Late Oct.-early Nov.), as crisp fall weather presented a picturesque scene. Highly recommend this location on your next visit to Arkansas.

The house was nice. Plenty of room for 2 couples. It was quiet, beds were comfortable. Petit Jean state park had some great hikes. Also, not too far from Hot Springs and the Ozarks.

Comfortable Hideaway

The house was warmly welcoming. The close proximity to Petit Jean State Park attractions, i.e., lodge and trails and scenery, made our days easy and enjoyable, especially for hiking, which was our primary reason for going to Petit Jean.

Feels like home

Cozy home tucked back just off hi way 154 with a great coffee shop less than a minute up the road. Plenty of space and amenities for a great stay. Host were very friendly and made sure everything we needed was here for a pleasant stay. Petit Jean state park is less than a mile away with beautiful sites to explore just minutes from the property.

What a great little get away!

We love to hike but also work busy day jobs is we were looking for a great place to stay and this place was spot on! Right next to the state park, quiet, and everything you could need is provided. Our boys LOVED exploring the property and loved the Gnomes…they are everywhere. If you need to get away and reset check this place out!
