Cottage Inn By The Sea

"The room was nice. The bathroom could use an update. We got the room with the patio and I wish we would have saved some money and just booked the higher floor, although there are no balconies. The hotel has lots of seating to sit outside and you get a better ocean view than the patio. You do not have privacy on the patio. The hotel has several fire pits to sit at, which are nicer than sitting on the patio. Also, in the first floor room we could hear people walking above us. The beach is wonderful. It took us about 15 minutes to stroll down the beach to get to the shops and restaurants. The fireplace is nice, but if the weather is nice, the room is too hot to use it. All in all I would recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They do charge for parking."

"Staff was kind and helpful. Room was clean. Lock on screen did not work as the door did not sit right and since there’s no Ac you must leave the sliding glass door open. But due to no lock on door, my partner got a bug bit. Spacious."

"About two blocks away from the docks and shops so still a good location for a short walk. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean for the most part. My only complaint really is the beds. Everyone has their own preferences but I'm pretty sure the mattress wasn't that soft by design. They felt very worn out. I don't think I've ever slept on a mattress that sunk down as much as those did. I'm sure the views in many of the rooms with a balcony are great."
