Some other reviewers have mentioned the busy road; don’t let that put you off, be assured the property is not on the busy A road, but is on a local road which does get light traffic, but it is not at all bothersome: you won’t hear it from inside the house. Parking in on the street...

"We stay in Bakewell reguarly but this was the first time in this cottage. Overall the cottage is lovely with quite a few quirks that add character. Everything was good on arrival, except we could not find the parking permit. Eventually we found it in the post box. Even though we stayed over the summer holidays, permit parking was widely available and we didn't have any issues. The location is great, 5 mins walk into town. Following on from other reviews, the owners have made some improvements....
