I run a small kayak club and we came to Scotland to paddle the Falkirk Wheel. I booked this hotel as I loved its old world charm and it was extremely convenient to everything and priced very reasonably. We stayed a week and my group could not have been happier! The Manager Liam was fantastic! Full of information and there to help you for what ever you needed! My group was exceptionally pleased with the hotel and staff. Thank you again!

Good, honest budget hotel. The staff were really good, as was the breakfast. Several options for food within minutes of walking - including a very good Chinese. If traveling by rail, five mins walk from the station. Have stayed before and will stay again.

Handy stopover

Staff friendly, nice freshly cooked breakfast, room comfortable, plenty hot water and heating. Handy spot near station. Not a luxury hotel for a holiday but perfect for a stop over, bathrooms could do with updating but everything worked. Recommend the cantonese restaurant Mandarin 2mins walk away for food.

Excellent value, decor a little tired but it was a nice and clean hotel, our room was big with really comfy beds. All staff were attentive and helpful. Note: there are a lot of steps and stairs and no lift, so not suitable for those with limited mobility. Will stay again

We have been to The Bentley a few times our recent visit was exactly what we expected our room was clean and tidy my husband said the cooked breakfast was very dry but we have no complaints about the service hotel needs a bit of TLC so does the outside staff friendly nothing was too much trouble wouldn’t hesitate to go back again

Another great stay at the Bentley. Unfortunately, there was no heating in our room but the staff were apologetic and super quick at supplying a heater for our stay. Massive well done to the young lady that worked the breakfast shift. super polite, orders always spot on and breakfast was delicious and served really quickly

Great value for money

Best value for money in a very long while. This is an older property with lots of character and charm but was spotlessly clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. Superb location for access to bus, train station and good choice for restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

Very friendly, central hotel in Motherwell

The hotel is not the Hilton but it is a well-located and friendly hotel. Our double room was fine, and had a small separate sitting area, which was a bonus. We could adjust the room temperate to suit us. Just sorry they are no longer doing half-board.

Lovely breakfast and room was quite clean. The hotel is very tired and the beds very soft. Shower cubicle had no shelf to rest anything. No toiletries provided apart from tiny bar of soap.
