"Property very tastefully furnished, friendly hosts (who speak very little English). OK for 2 people, would be a bit tight for 4. Major issues with swimming pool (out of action for 5 of our 14 days), with water pressure (20 mins for shower to warm up and then only a dribble), extremely loud and frequently barking dog. Although located in a side street it is adjacent to a major road - plenty of traffic noise during the day. Location convenient for Etna and the sites on the east side of the island."

"The house was more rustic than expected, and it would have been nice to know a caretaker liver on site. Not a problem, but it would have been nice to know. View of Mt. Etna was stunning, and the pool was maintained well. Surrounding area was a bit intimidating, and the entrance gates took some work. But overall, a nice place and very attentive hosts."

"Antonella & Claudio treated us like family in their 1800's home that have been in Claudio's family for generations. The property was historical, well maintained with a view of Mt Etna and the ocean. At night you can see Italy's shore lights. So much welcoming, it even had a very friendly kitty to greet you every morning. Nice privacy and a functional kitchen. We would love to return to their home sometime in the near future if we get to return to Sicily. This trip was wine business, so maybe...

"The property itself is very small but for two people it's perfect. Open plan with a little somewhat steep staircase up to the bedroom area. We like to be off the beaten track and this just right for us, the private courtyard (that includes the shower/washing machine) was a good size with multiple seating options available. "A great property in very easy reach of Mt Etna, Taormina, Catania (40 mins from each), and Milazzo. There is also a lovely beach just 10mins away. The neighbourhood is a bit a non-descript, but it is a lovely property, quiet, with a lovely "temporary" pool which is a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. Francesco the host was great throughout the stay. Highly recommended as a base for visits around Etna."

"I tried booking here twice - once when I flew in and again when I flew out of Catania. Big mistake. Both times the booking was automatically accepted only to be later cancelled. The first time it was cancelled with a couple of days notice (due to a double booking) so we were able to find another accommodation no problem. But the second time it was cancelled within 3 hrs of our check-in time and ONLY after I contacted VRBO customer service because my message to the host had gone completely...
