"This is a bed and breakfast in a beautifully decorated, ornate, historical mansion. Don't expect the same level of service as a hotel. The bedrooms are nicely updated to today's standards, but both the inside and outside staircases require maintenance attention. The proprietor is friendly and was avaliable in the mornings to regale us with information about the mansion and the city. We enjoyed our stay."

The big moment is when you walk through the door and have a view of the city and harbour / port. Earl’s place is huge , clean, bright and stocked with the items you need . The beds were also super comfy. I’d go back to St.John’s just to stay at Earl’s place again. "
