The cabin was beautiful and satisfied our needs on the interior. The heat and hot water worked well.
We enjoyed our stay on this property. It was nice and quiet. We were greeted by a deer the first morning. The tiny house had a nice floor plan which made it feel spacious.
We loved the porch for our morning coffee. Kids loved the loft. It was the perfect mountain escape! Very clean and had all the amenities needed. Wonderful time!
The check in was very easy. The cabin was very clean and was relaxing. Me and my husband didn't want to leave. The host was wonderful answered question we had in a very timely manner. We are definitely going to book again. Thank you for sharing it wit us.
What a beautiful quiet cabin sitting at the bottom of the property totally away from the world! If you are a outdoors family that enjoys the peace and quiet away from the city this is your place. property is about 50 acres up the mountain and if you have kids this is a great place as well as the property owner clearly has kiddos as there was swings, play area, even saw a country makeshift zipline lol. Got to meet a couple of the neighbors at the bottom of hill as well and so pleasant including Charlie as he came by on his 4 wheeler and we chatted all things hunting lol. As a Florida neighbor thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us.
Property was great except for two things. First the queen mattress and the bunk beds were hard as bricks! Very uncomfortable! Second, the bottom step on the porch was way too low. Knee injury waiting to happen. Enjoyed the peace and quiet in a lovely cabin!
This cabin was perfect for us. Most of the property is dedicated to nature & trails, with several streams. Unlike some of the cabins we visited, the trails are well-kept. Two small fields exist on the property totaling about 5 acres together, but mostly the property is forested, and mountainous, in a holler that blocks you off from most of the noise of modern society (only jets far above intruded),
Since it backs up to US Forestry property, you can hike beyond, all the way to the Appalachian trail, without have to drive out to find a trail head. This gives you access to a lot of other trails, but we only hiked on or adjacent to the cabin's property. If we had stayed longer, I would have made it to the AT.
US Forestry trails are not as well-defined, but they are sufficient.
Each morning and evening we would enjoy coffee & a book at the fire pit beside the stream. We were lucky that they owners were camping there the week we stayed, though they do not live their all year round. They are very kind and we loved their company.
We have 6 in our family. Even though the cabin is small, it is well designed and will sleep 8 comfortably.
As well, the location is close to Mountain City, so provisions are easily available. We also visited lake Watauga and (to the joy of our young son) Backyard Terrors and Dinosaur Park in Bluff City, TN.
Wonderfully secluded with modern amenities. Adorable cabin with a babbling stream in the rear. Hoovering trees keeps the property pretty cool. Would absolutely recommend.
All in all it was a great stay we was going to the Bristol race so we main was there at night. It worked great for us loved the location and privacy only suggestion I would have is maybe put unit out back on its own post might help with vibration from it but not really that bad either 2 I would have a small cover area for firewood to keep dry and have either a small axe or have some of the wood cut for kindling to start fire easier we brought our own fire starter brick but it might help others
One of the best places I've stayed with my family, hands down! My kids spent most of the day catching crawfish and lizards in the creek. We got close with one of the neighbors and it made the trip a million times better. Not only did i feel at home with my kids (hard for me), but i made lifelong memories with my family. The host is great and will help with everything they can
We were looking for a quiet getaway, plus exploring the idea of a tiny home-this was it. With thecreek outside the bedroom window, and comfortable bed we slept like a baby. The bottom step caught my husband, who has trouble walking, but once he realized what was going on, he was ok. Hope to be back in the fall.

What really attracted us to the place was the outdoor playground and tire swing hammocks, and fire pit. Our 4 kids loved playing outside, finding salamanders and playing on the ropes course. It was disappointing that the hammocks weren’t there, the tire swing was laying on the ground (our kid tried to fix it) and the obstacle course was slanted, making it harder to use.
The cabin is darling and well stocked. Master bed is comfy. Something causes noise/vibration we could feel while in bed but not too bad (generator?). We enjoyed the extras like popcorn/herb tea/hot cocoa/uno/oatmeal. Our complaint is that though the sink water got warm, the shower didn’t. Only 1/6 of our crew attempted a shower and it was luke warm. While the host did say they’d have someone check the breaker, that didn’t seem necessary since I’d made it clear the sink water was warm. She said it is a small water heater (shower wasn’t warm for 1 person) they’d have a plumber out but they weren’t available until after our stay was over. Maybe the water heater set temp needs to go up? We were there two nights. We enjoyed our time. We felt gross and dirty with all the playing outside, riding the 16 mile Virginia creeper trail, kids playing in the creek and no shower, only baby wipes to clean off. For the high price point, it’s disappointing to not be able to comfortably bathe and the host didn’t offer anything for our inconvenience. We hope it’s all fixed up for the next crew!
