"We checked in at 6 p.m. and our room wasn’t ready. We had to wait about 25 min for a room. The air conditioning did not cool properly. We reported it to the front desk, they said that engineering would look at, but it was never fixed. We didn’t have a hair dryer in the room and were told that there was a shortage of hairdryers. They brought a travel size hairdryer that was at the end of its life and started smelling like it was burning as soon as I plugged it in. The location of the hotel is pretty good, but it is definitely outdated and probably understaffed. "

The hosts were wonderful and truly cared about my comfort, which I really appreciated as a solo traveler.Advice for others: Be prepared for the drive! The roads are narrow, windy, and potholed—combining that with learning to drive on the left by myself was a bit of a challenge at first. Definitely ask the hosts for a GPS pin before you head out; Google/Apple Maps can be a bit literal with addresses that don't translate well. Once I navigated the driveway and settled in, the view and the comfort were perfect."
