Didn't realize that we needed to be there by 6 p m called ahead, and staff was able to help us to be able to find our room.And get checked in at 10 p m. With no fuss at all.

Westhaven Motel was an excellent place to stay. Not only was this a wonderful motel in its own right, but it is mere steps from all the glacier guided tour companies in the center of town. Nick (the winter motel manger) made us feel right at home, and was very kind to drive us to Lake Matheson (which saved us a 20 min walk on a very cold day)! Highly recommended.
Westhaven Motel was an excellent place to stay. Not only was this a wonderful motel in its own right, but it is mere steps from all the glacier guided tour companies in the center of town. The motel is somewhat older, but very well maintained and in perfect condition. Large & comfortable rooms, good Wi-Fi. The owner is very helpful and hospitable. We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The motel is off the main road, about halfway between the two main attractions of Fox Glacier village: the glacier and Lake Matheson. We had two sunny days and could see the snow capped peaks of Mount Tasman & Mount Cook from our room.
