We spent one night at La Ferme de Marpalu and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect—close to beautiful castles, with plenty of options to hike, explore, and enjoy nature. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. Ingrid and Jean-Paul are wonderfully warm and welcoming. I loved it. Staff was nice. Air conditioning worked perfectly during summer. New and very clean.

Great location, views of the chateau. Large grounds for walking, biking. Parking is not included, so that may be something the hotel could offer as a perk. Need to make reservations at nearby restaurants as location is slightly rural and isolated. Easy drive to Blois.

This hotel is a gem. It’s close to all the major chateaux but is situated in a beautiful forest. They had bikes for use that we enjoyed as a family. The room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The power went out in the whole region unexpectedly due to an intense storm in the area. We had reservations for dinner, and they figured out how to make us a delicious dinner without power, set up a beautiful candle-lit table, and provided us electric candles for our room. Audrey, our hostess, was so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious! We loved the local ingredients and home made yogurt, and all for a very reasonable price.

A nice place to stay, but with a problem: the owner, Mme Arnelle Tocquet, who seems to exhibit contempt for her guests. Three examples: we arrive at 3:30PM, door is locked shut, no ringing or knocking success; a phone call raises a live voice, who explains that the hotel opens at 4. When I ask why this is not posted, she is adamant that it is: later when in person I confront her about this, and she points to a long ago faded sheet, totally illegible, and claims the information is there. ...

This hotel is beautiful and very inviting. The rooms were a bit small, which was a challenge, but we made the most of it and got along ok. I would stay here again, but would ask for the largest room they have. The location was wonderful, and the property team was very kind. They need to mix up the menu, as they serve the same 3 items every night. We did ask for a different meal, and they somehow made it happen.

Staff were tremendous: helpful and courteous. Room was great and the swimming pool was a bonus. Great location, close to the train station. Second stay for us.
